Directing and executive producing this year’s Founders Ward Roadshow entry was much more difficult than I thought it would be, and while I tried hard not to let it consume my life, it obviously did. I haven’t slept in weeks. All my fingernails have been chewed completely off. I have gained 15 pounds because all I have wanted to eat were Oreos dipped in Crisco.
But now that the show is over, and we earned third place, I feel so relieved. My “girls” did so well; I couldn’t be prouder of them. They really nailed the “Raise the Ark Roof (‘cause it be smellin’ like rotten melon up in here)” routine. Had they not, we probably would have gone home with 5th place ribbons.
Just wanted to give a shout out to my Founders Ward ladies. I love you all. You should be on Broadway...in a ticket booth selling tickets to those big-time shows.
Here’s a photo of the girls during the 12-second standing ovation they received. You girls are just the best.

Have I ever told you about my friend Ryan? That dude is hilarious.
Glad the roadshow went well. Don't go all Hollywood on us, now. Keep it real. The last thing we need is another John Woo on our hands.
